Privacy Policy

We want OffAlerts to be a tool you can trust. This page explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it. No dark patterns, no selling to data brokers, no surprises.
The data controller is API LADS INC. References to "we", "us", and "our" mean API LADS INC. OffAlerts is one of our products.
What we collect
- Account info: your name, email, and password (hashed). Optionally your timezone, language, and notification preferences.
- Billing info: your billing address and the last 4 digits of your card. Full card details are stored by our payment processor (Stripe), not by us.
- What you ask us to watch: URLs, headers, expected response codes, and any other details you provide for each monitor. We never log secret values you mark as sensitive.
- Check results: response codes, response times, and timestamps from each check we run on your behalf. Retained per your plan (30 to 180 days).
- Usage data: which features you use, when you log in, and approximate geographic location (from your IP). Used to keep the service running and figure out what to improve.
Why we collect it
- To provide the service you signed up for (we can't watch your site without your monitor configurations).
- To bill you for paid plans.
- To send you account-related emails (incident notifications, billing receipts, trial reminders) and — only if you opted in — product updates.
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns.
Who we share it with
We use a few third-party services to deliver OffAlerts. They each see only the slice of data needed to do their job:
- Cloudflare — routes traffic to our servers and protects against attacks.
- Stripe — processes payments. They handle your full card details directly.
- DigitalOcean / Google Cloud — host our infrastructure.
- Notification providers (Telegram, WhatsApp/Twilio, Slack, Discord, your email provider) — receive the alert payloads you've configured us to send. We send them only what's needed to deliver the notification.
We do not sell your data, ever. We do not share it with advertisers.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels on the app. The marketing site (offalerts.com) uses Cloudflare's privacy-friendly Web Analytics, which doesn't fingerprint visitors and doesn't track across sites.
Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Access and export everything we have about your account.
- Correct or update your account details.
- Delete your account and have your data removed (we keep billing records as required by law, typically 7 years).
- Object to specific processing or restrict it.
If you're in the EU or UK, these rights are guaranteed under GDPR. If you're in California, the CCPA covers similar ground. Email [email protected] and we'll process any request within 30 days.
Data retention
We keep your account data as long as your account is active. Check history is retained according to your plan (30 to 180 days, rolling). When you delete your account, we remove personal data within 30 days, except for billing records we're legally required to keep.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll notify active customers via email and post the new version here. Continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance.
