Terms of Service
Last updated: May 21, 2026
These terms govern your use of OffAlerts. By signing up, you agree to them. We've tried to keep them short and readable.
OffAlerts is operated by API LADS INC. References to "we", "us", and "our" mean API LADS INC.
1. The service
OffAlerts is a monitoring service that watches websites, APIs, and scheduled jobs you specify, and notifies you when something is wrong. We do our best to make checks accurate and timely, but we don't guarantee specific uptime, performance, or alert-delivery latency.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. One person per account. You must be at least 16 to sign up.
3. Trial and billing
Paid plans start with a 14-day trial. We require a payment method to begin the trial so we can convert your account cleanly when the trial ends. You can cancel any time during the trial in your billing dashboard — you will not be charged.
After the trial, your card is charged on the plan's billing cycle (monthly unless otherwise stated). All fees are in USD. We don't pro-rate refunds for partial months, but we also don't bill you again after you cancel.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use OffAlerts to:
- Monitor systems, networks, or services you don't own or aren't authorized to monitor.
- Probe for vulnerabilities, run port scans, or otherwise use monitors as an attack tool.
- Send excessive traffic intended to degrade a target's performance.
- Monitor cloud-provider metadata endpoints, internal IP ranges, or other infrastructure that isn't a legitimate public service.
- Resell or rebrand the service without a written agreement.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules — usually with a heads-up first, immediately if the abuse is ongoing.
5. Your data
Your monitor configurations, status pages, and check history belong to you. You can export everything (where supported by your plan) or delete it at any time. We don't sell your data, ever. See the Privacy Policy for specifics on what we collect and why.
6. Service availability
We work hard to keep OffAlerts running 24/7, but we don't offer a formal SLA at our current pricing. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance when feasible. Outages that affect alert delivery don't entitle you to a refund unless we specifically commit to one for your account.
7. Limitation of liability
OffAlerts is provided "as is." To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — for example, lost revenue if your store was down and our alert didn't reach you. Set up redundant alerting paths if your business demands it.
8. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of OffAlerts will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware. Both parties waive any right to a jury trial to the extent permitted by law.
If you live somewhere with consumer-protection laws that override this clause, those laws still apply to you. Nothing here is intended to strip you of rights you have by default.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we'll notify active customers via email and post the new version here at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance.
