Deactivating and Reactivating a Heartbeat

A heartbeat is a process of constantly checking a server or website. After creating a heartbeat, you may not want to delete it, but instead, deactivate it. After doing so, you may also wish to reactivate it. If so, you can follow the steps below to deactivate or reactivate your heartbeat.

Step 1: Navigate to the Heartbeat

1.1 Once on the Heartbeat page (or the Dashboard), find the heartbeat you wish to edit and find the Actions Bar button near the top right corner. Click on it and find the Edit button. Click it. You may also click directly into the heartbeat to edit it.

Step 2: Deactivate or Reactivate Your Heartbeat

2.1 Under the “Heartbeat is active” dropdown, change “Yes” to “No” or vice-versa depending on if you wish to deactivate or reactivate your heartbeat.
2.2 Once you’ve updated this setting, click the Update button.

Step 3: View Confirmation Message

3.1 Once your heartbeat has been updated, you’ll see a message on the top of the screen confirming the update.
